Sheaf Tossing Championship
The Sheaf Tossing event has taken place at every Sutton Bonington Show and is still as popular today as it was the first year. Have a go at wielding the pitchfork and see if you have the 'knack' and strength to clear the bar. The best throwers can then compete in the Grand Final at the end of the afternoon for a fantastic cash prize.
This always proves very popular with the young and not so young. The sport of climbing is becoming more popular so we have a mobile climbing wall to allow you to have a go. The climber will be strapped into a harness for safety.

Leicestershire Dexter Society Show
Dexters are the smallest British breed of cattle and are established as a dual-purpose breed with the average weight of a cow being some 350Kgs and standing approximately 36" to 42" at the shoulder.
The breed comes in three colours, predominately black, but also in red and dun. Being a mountain breed they are extremely hardy and can live outside all year round. Their size and versatility makes them an ideal smallholder's cow.
The Leicestershire Dexter Society will be showing a number of prize animals in their own area at the lower end of the field. Later, after judging the winning animals from each class will be paraded in the main arena and the cups and rosettes awarded.
